Theresa C. Stanley ~ Librarian and Doctoral Student
I am an academic librarian at Pima Community College's Downtown Campus Library, in Tucson. I enjoy working with adults helping to meet their educational, as well as, personal, and recreational needs. I am a strong proponent of active learning, so I am always looking for a way to make a presentation or research on a project more personal - believing if it's relevant to the student they are more likely to get something out of it by putting more into it!

I am also a doctoral student in Educational Technology at Pepperdine University. My focus is on Web 2.0, social networking applications and how they can be used for student and staff development. My classes are challenging but I am really enjoying the assignments, although I have to admit, I don't think I ever read so much in my life! I am just beginning my second year - which appears to be very exciting, and of course - challenging! Besides part 2 of Stats, I have a consultancy project - which I have no idea on yet. This fall we head to Boston and Harvard and in the spring we are heading to Washington DC for the culmination of our policy class, where we will be lobbying our issues to members of Congress.
